Review: New Energy Husum – 17 to 20 March 2016
As industry insiders well know, the heart of the energy transition beats in Husum. New Energy Husum is where exhibitors from all the renewable sectors come together with visitors to show how renewable energy sources continue to become more interdependent and complement one another. And how the energy transition continues to be encouraged at grass roots level. Considering that the exhibition venue is also home to HUSUM Wind, one of the most important wind trade fairs there is, Husum is effectively the hub of Germany’s energy transition, the energiewende.
New Energy Husum is one of the most important trade fairs in the renewable energy sector. It has served as the presentation platform for decentralised renewable energy generation since 2002. It covers topics and technologies from small wind turbines (up to 100 kW capacity), biogas utilisation, solid biomass (pellets, firewood and wood chips for heating systems), solar heating, heat pumps, CHP, photovoltaics, heating grids, energy storage systems to electric vehicles and energy efficient and eco-friendly building.
At the exhibition and visitors’ forums, visitors to the fair can find out everything about energy efficient building concepts, using and storing renewable energy, and how they themselves can generate heating and power. The stands featuring electric vehicles are enhanced by a large test track in the outside area.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors can expect a comprehensive, daily-changing programme of events. There are several workshops and discussion sessions that run parallel to the exhibition, which are organised in association with renowned institutions and professional associations from the world of politics, business and industry.
The congress gives trade visitors the opportunity to find out about the latest technology and exchange ideas and experiences with experts. The international small wind turbine industry is also coming together at the “World Summit for Small Wind”, the small wind turbine wind industry’s most important event.
Thanks for a fantastic fair:
New Energy Husum closes with positive conclusion – the fair’s motto “Renewable energy – now more than ever!” has worked
Husum | New Energy Husum closed its doors on Sunday with a consistently positive conclusion. “The event was a complete success!” announced a clearly delighted exhibition boss Peter Becker. Despite the challenges the industry is currently facing, the exhibition for renewable energy, electric vehicles and energy efficient building and living once again managed to bring together around 10,000 trade and private visitors in Husum.
